Dongwan Generously Donates 15 Million Won to Disaster Victims
Group Shinhwa's Kim DongWan generously donated 15 million won (equivalent to USD $15,600) to aid flood disaster victims.
As
a result of Typhoon Ewiniar, the recent rainstorms had created massive
property and personal losses. Kim DongWan, without prior discussion
with his management company, called KBS 1TV's 'Love's Request' on the
morning of the 18th, expressing his hope of helping the disaster
victims and whereby donated 15 million won.
On the 15th, Kim
DongWan, during his solo performance at Shinhwa's '2006 STATE OF THE
ART in Busan' held at Busan's BEXCO, fell off the stage and dislocated
his right shoulder. Fortunately, after receiving emergency treatment,
it was found that his injury was not serious.
In a private
meeting after the Pusan concert, Kim DongWan revealed, "I have just
heard the news about the KangWon JiBang citizens suffering from the
flood disaster. Seeing them losing their homes and family members, I
feel extremely grievous." Good EMG also indicated, "We have also found
out about this only after Kim DongWan's donation on 'Love's Request.'"
